How To: Straight Hair [English Translation]

Gyaru Tip #14: Straight is great

As you know almost all gyaru hairstyles only involve upstyle hair buns or volumized hair curls. Some of you might think this is way too tough to work with curls (especially the hours you spend of doing it). That’s why I’ll introduce some lovely straight hair choices for you!

5 easy steps to achieve this look:

1. Brush out all tangles in your hair. This is a stricter rule because curls and upstyles can hide the knots.

2. Separate parts of you hair with hair clips. Always start from the inner layer of your hair until you reach the outmost, then proceed to the next section. But before you begin ironing it, ALWAYS use heat resistant products so that you’ll protect your hair from being damaged.

3. Begin by taking about 3 fingers(in width) and not thicker than the thickness of a cardboard box. If you take too much hair, the iron might not be able to straighten all of it and if it’s too wide, it will most likely slip out of the iron.

4. Maintain the iron’s movement by going 90 dregrees down but when you reach about 3 inches before the end, begin to slant it towards your face (but not too much! You might burn yourself). Pretend as if your wrapping your hair around it but at the same time pulling it down. It might be tricky to do this at first but you’ll get the hang of it. If the hair is going outwards it means your rotating the iron the wrong way, so just reverse it. If it’s not curving in as it should be, then perhaps try to do it much slower or twirl it even more. NOTE: You may or may not do the in curve procedure to the back part of your hair, it’s mainly for the front part but both ways work.
5. For the bangs, I suggest using a round brush. Use it to support the bangs and then slip the iron in between the brush and the roots of your hair, then do the same thing with the hair wrapping but do it loosely (curving it too much might make it look funny). Finish it by using a little hair spray and you’re done! A much quicker way than hair curling and just looking beautiful.

Hope you enjoyed! ^^
